Lesa Matsen

October 28, 1966 — June 14, 2012

Lesa Crawford Matsen, 45, passed away on June 14, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah.

Born October 28, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lesa began her journey through life with a zest for discovery and a love and dedication of the world’s many underdogs. Lesa was a mother to every child that crossed her path, and a friend to anyone who needed words of encouragement or a gentle touch.

Lesa graduated from Bountiful High School in 1984. She enjoyed doing crafts, including scrapbooking with her sister. She loved watching NASCAR with her husband. She worked many places where she met and loved working with people, including South Davis Community Hospital in Central Supply, and most recently as a cook at John Muir Elementary School.

Lesa’s greatest joy was family activities where she so loved spending time with those she loved and cherished. She had the privilege of being a loving mother to her son and bonus children, along with many others that loved and needed her.

Survived by her husband, Chris; mother, Julie Briggs (Gary Crawford); son, Shane (Nichole) McBride; bonus children, Cassi, Morgan, Cambrie, Calen, Megan, Christopher and ShaNiece; sisters, Teri (Jay) Palmer, Dayna Frehner, and Kari Reiter; brother, Jim Turner; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including her little button.

Preceded in death by her brother, Todd Turner, and biological father, Rich Turner.
