Leslie Bjorkman Otte, age 88, passed away Monday, February 28, 2005, in Bountiful, Utah.
Les was born July 1, 1916, in Logan, Utah, the son of Hans F. Otte and Alma Allie Marie Bjorkman. He graduated from Idaho State University, School of Pharmacy, and enjoyed many years serving as a pharmacist.
Les joined the United States Navy in July of 1942 as a Pharmacist First Class. He sailed 96,000 miles during World War II with the Pacific Fleet, his service lasting 3 years, 4 months, and 27 days.
Les married Dana Jean Abbott, February 4, 1941, in Tremonton, Utah and they were together for 62 years. He was a loving father and grandfather of three children, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Les is preceded in death by his wife, Dana, and survived by his three children, Leslie H. Dani, Ballantine, MT; Kathleen Stringfellow Dennis Mesa, AZ; Diane Shaw John, North Salt Lake, UT; sisters Ethel Jensen, Provo, UT; and Elaine Gaudette, Medford, OR. Preceded in death by sisters, Leona Jackson and Myrtle Saxton; brothers Alfred Otte and Oscar Otte.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 4, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Farmington City Cemetery. Friends may call Friday morning from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, prior to the graveside services.
