Linda Ann Nielson

April 29, 1944 — July 4, 2015

Our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda Ann Nielson, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 4, 2015, surrounded by her family at her home in Bountiful, Utah.

Linda was born on April 29, 1944 to Ferris Vernon Hewlett and Edetha Merrell Talbot in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was sealed for time and all eternity to Nolan Jay Nielson on March 6, 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She is survived by her husband, her children, Susan (Craig), Barbara (John), Jeanette (John), Gregory (Emily), and Annalyn (Jay), her brother Neal (Robin), and 23 grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

In addition to being a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she is known for her loving service to friends and family and her beautiful handwork. Her clothing, quilts, crochet, and embroidered articles will be treasured by all those who have them. She was devoted to making her home and garden a place of beauty. A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in Primary, Relief Society, and Young Women’s, and worked in name extraction and genealogy for many years. She served in her community as a room mother in her children’s classes, provided food for many people in her neighborhood, and was an accomplished cook. She attended the University of Utah and was a strong advocate for education in both word and deed and was active in her children’s education from pre-kindergarten through college. Linda enjoyed traveling and visited many places across the US, Canada, and Europe but spent most of her vacation time in Grace, Idaho. We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Klein, Nancy, and everyone in the office for their loving care over the last several years.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Bountiful 27th Ward Chapel, 1145 N 200 E, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may visit Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, and Saturday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the chapel. Internment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
