Linda Arnold Parker

February 1, 1942 — April 7, 2015

Linda quietly slipped away at home after a long decline in her health. She was lovingly taken care of for the past two years by her devoted son, Brian.
Linda was the fourth of five children born to Leslie and Fuschia Arnold. She grew up in the Bountiful area and was a graduate of Bountiful High School. She was a hard worker and provided a good life for her son. Linda spent many years in California where she was a Systems Analyst for ARCO Gas Company.
Linda was a quiet person on the outside, but she possessed an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel with friends; she visited Europe and Africa and spent time traveling with her family to Disneyworld-where she especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, Brandan, Ethan, and McKenna. Linda was unexpected in many ways; she had a secret dream of being a professional racecar driver, and, as a young adult, she left home and headed to San Francisco where she was a regular at the dancing club, The Lemon Tree. During this time, Linda made lifelong friends with Barbara and Bonnie, who joined her on many an epic adventure.
Linda was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and after retiring, she served a mission for the Church in Salt Lake City at the Genealogy Center. After almost two years of digging through genealogical records, she was never able to solve the mystery of her father's origin, but she loved the opportunity to serve anyway.
Linda is survived by her son, Brian (Kim) Parker; grandchildren, Brandan Boerio, Ethan and McKenna Parker; sisters, Leslie Skinner and Sondra Sager. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 11th at 3:00pm at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
