Linda Diane Dixon

June 22, 1954 — September 13, 2024

On September 13, 2024, Linda Diane Dixon (70), our beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away due to pancreatic cancer. She was sincerely loved by all who knew her. Diane blessed the lives of everyone she met. She had a natural grace that drew people to her.

Diane was born on June 22, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lenna Jean Edmunds Barker and Dale K. Barker. She was number 4 of 8 children. Diane was a caretaker, if anyone needed anything she was always there. She loved having her family together to play games and family dinners. Her favorite color was blue. After graduating from South High School, Diane graduated with her associates in business. Diane worked as a computer operator, county auditor secretary and her favorite, working with her sister and best friend Judy Allen Perfili as her assistant in Real Estate.

Diane is tough and a fighter. She was in a coma at age 29. At that time, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic liver disease OTC, and given 5 years to live. Diane had many obstacles with her health but she didn't let anything stop her. She went on to live 41 more years.

Diane met the love of her life Michael Dixon in 1982 and married in 1985. They were the best aunt and uncle and helped raise and love many nieces and nephews. Mike and Diane were blessed with 2 boys, Brandon and Mikey. They were sealed in the Bountiful temple in 1996. They loved being parents and were there for everything for their boys. Their favorite memories were traveling to Disneyland and Mexico. Diane and Mike were thrilled to become grandparents and love their sweet Maddie Jean.

Diane loved exercising, crocheting and reading. She was the glue that held the family together. If anyone needed anything Diane was there. Diane was known to keep relatives informed and enjoyed keeping in touch with loved ones. After Diane was diagnosed with cancer and was in an enormous amount of pain she was always smiling, happy and concerned for others. The doctors and nurses constantly commented on how kind, sweet and polite she was.

Diane leaves behind her son Michael (Mikey) David Dixon, sister Judy (Mike), brothers Ken and David (Ann), granddaughter Maddie Dixon, nieces and nephews (who were just like her own children), as well as many other cherished family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son Brandon Dixon, sisters: Carol, JoAnn, Kathy and brother DWayne.
