Lisa Keller

Lisa was born on May 8, 1964, and passed away on April 5, 2025.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lisa Keller- a devoted grandma, a loving mother, an experienced big sister, a spoiling aunt, and a darling daughter. Lisa was born on May 8, 1964, at South Davis Community Hospital in Bountiful, Utah, to Charles and Carol Keller. 

She grew up in Boise, ID, for 10 years. Lisa loved Boise the most and wanted to return some day. Her family later moved to Las Vegas, NV, for a year and half. They spent 3 years in Arlington, TX. Lisa often spoke of her fond memories and friends made in Texas. In 1978, they moved back to Utah into the town of Centerville, where she developed her many talents- sewing, baking, crafts, canning, and candy making.

She graduated from Viewmont High School in 1982 and loved her years there on the Flag and Drill team. It was during those high school years that she met her sweetheart, Douglas Holbrook. They quickly fell in love and shared an epic group of lifelong friends. Doug and Lisa were married in Bountiful, Utah, on August 7, 1982. Once married, they set off to build a life together and start a family. Lisa had a love for dance, this led to her creating her Drill Team called Rainbow Connections. She loved those girls and the many parades they did.

Lisa is known for her work ethic and self-driven independence. Those skills drove her sales rep career(s) for over 40 years, Cuban-Cigar, Core-Mark, Sysco, and US Foods. During those years, she built lasting relationships with co-workers and customers. Lisa was known for having a positive outlook and energetic smile. Her customers adored her and longed for her company. Lisa was a dedicated sales rep and built a legacy for herself and her family. In 1986, Doug and Lisa were blessed with a daughter, Nicole, and then in 1990 their second daughter, Christine. Lisa took her role as a mother to heart. She was devoted to their goals and dreams from day one. She was often boosting her girls' talents and abilities to many. Lisa sacrificed for her children as a single mother but never complained. She provided a life for her daughters that was full and blessed to the brim.

In 2005, Lisa made a career shift and moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho. It was in Idaho that she created a dream home, a successful career, and many friends. She held the title of "social butterfly" within her church and community. She had many opportunities to share her talents within her church callings and as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lisa had a strong testimony and faith in her loving Heavenly Father and Savior. Lisa was prepared to enter the Lord's temple and was a devoted servant to Christ. As time went on, Lisa took on a new role as a mother-in-law in 2007 and 2019. She had high expectations of both Josh and Michael, entrusting the care of her daughters to these men. Then, in 2011, Lisa became a grandma, her favorite calling of all.

She is blessed with 7 amazing grandchildren who changed her life in a way she was prepared for. Her inner child thrived with creating epic Easter Egg hunts, Christmas traditions, and a spooky Halloween night. Lisa truly had unconditional love for her grandchildren and took pride in who each of them were. During her final days, she would open her eyes whenever she heard "hi grandma". They were her greatest joy and blessings. Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 and beat that cancer in 2024. Shortly after, in July 2024, she received the devastating news of stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Lisa was determined to give cancer one heck of a fight, again. She never gave up her battle and was a warrior till the end.

Lisa was preceded in death by both her grandparents, Ross and Alice Jensen, and Parmer and Dorthy Keller; mother-in-law, Althea Holbrook; and uncles, Ralph and Dave Keller.Lisa is survived by her parents, Charles and Carol Keller; siblings, Lorri Keller, Scott & Robin Keller, Shane Keller, Shawn & Joy Keller, and Seth & Callie Keller; her children, Josh & Nicole Thompson, Michael & Chrissy Trosky; her grandchildren, Hadley Thompson, Shealey Thompson, Paxton Thompson, Micheal III Trosky, Madison Firestone, Remington Trosky, and Paisley Trosky; many nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Woods Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, Ammon, ID.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1750 N. 900 W. in West Bountiful, Utah. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, from 11-11:45 a.m. prior, with both visitations at the church. Burial will be in the Bountiful Cemetery.
