Lloyd Davis

February 3, 1934 — July 16, 2021

The Utah Jazz lost one of its most ardent supporters with the passing of Lloyd Davis on July 16, 2021. He succumbed to injuries sustained in a fall earlier in the week. He was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully a few days later.

He was born February 3, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He grew up farming with his father which, in the early days, relied heavily on teams of horses. He later began hauling produce for Bangerter Farms. This inspired him to form his own trucking company; Davis Trucking. This endeavor proved to be very successful. He owned and operated the company until his retirement in 1996.

He married Joy Pace and adopted two children – Susan and Craig. They later divorced. Two years later Lloyd met and married Enid Hendrickson. Enid brought her daughters Annette and Diane to the marriage. They soon welcomed Debbie to the family. They remained together for 31 years until Enid passed away at the age of 54. He later married Deon Peck who has been his wife, and companion for the past 18 years.

He loved Jazz basketball, Bronco’s football, gardening, horses and spending time with his family. He was a kind and generous man.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Flora Davis as well as his son Craig, His wife Enid and his sister Marilyn Davis Haneberg and stepson, Ken Olsen. He is survived by his wife Deon Davis, his daughters Susie (Terry) Pack, Bountiful, UT, Annette (Randy) Schultz, Boise, ID, and Debra (Jeff) Daugherty, Cheyenne, WY, stepchildren Ben (Debby) Olsen, Bountiful Ut, Jennifer Ford, Salt Lake City, UT. He is also survived and adored by 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A viewing is planned for Tuesday July 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful Utah. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 21st at 11:00 am at The Oak Hills Ward house located at 455 South 1200 East Bountiful, UT.
