Lois Carol Ostlund

Lois Carol Brown Ostlund, 80, of Bountiful, Utah passed away on June 27, 2013
Carol was born on December 24, 1932 to Thomas James [Jim] Brown and Ella Henrietta Faber. Her older brother Louie got his wish for a baby sister for Christmas. She graduated from South High School.
On July 11, 1956 she married her sweetheart Willard Wayne Ostlund, who she met while working at Hill Air Force Base as a data processor. They made their home in Woods Cross, Utah following the birth of their first child. She became a stay-at-home mom and they had two more daughters. She was a great cook and a fun mom. When her girls were older, she went to work in the cafeteria at Millcreek Junior High. She later worked as a supervisor in the bedding and drapery department at JC Penney until she retired. Carol and Wayne’s plans for retirement were cut short by his death in 2001.
Carol is survived by her daughters, DeLys Ostlund, Darcy [Robert] Cavazos, Cheryl [Perry] Ward; her grandchildren Kellan [Katie], Kara [Alex], Marisa, Kaylee and Nicolas; four nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, brother and her parents.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 5, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 N. Main St. Bountiful, Utah. A graveside service with be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Lakeview Memorial Estates, 1640 East Lakeview Drive Bountiful, Utah. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
