Lois Ruth Bartschi Passey

Our much-loved mother, Gram, and Nana, Lois Ruth Bartschi Passey, died peacefully in her bed with family around her on December 15^th, 2021. She was born April 27^th, 1940, the fifth child of Wilford Woodruff and Lillie Irene Nelson Bartschi in Montpelier, Idaho.

She was married to Roy Smith Passey on August 15^th, 1958, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They are the proud parents of five children and grandparents of 16. Lisa and Dean Boynton; Aaron and Lindsey Boynton, Chelsea and Rob Stephenson, and Janessa and Dillon Pease. Troy Newell Passey; Christopher and Melissa Passey­, and Travis and Holly Passey. Laura Passey and Mike Smith; Britnee Dabb, EmiLee and Steve Sperb, Malyree and CJ Hancock, and RyLee Carter. Patricia and Lee Harper; Tricia and Mitch Morrison, Sarah White, and Nick White. Dionne and Jim Middleton; Ky and Ashley Burton, Audrey and Jimmy Bethke, Gentry and Lasater Kinikini, and Jed Burton.

She is survived by her beloved sister Marilyn Uharriet, her dear sisters-in-law;  Edith, Ruth, Joyce, & Doris, her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many adoring nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her darling husband Roy, her brother Russel, her sisters Audrey and Barbara, her Troyboy, and son-in-law Glenn White.

Lois was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints. She held many Church positions, which she faithfully accepted and gave her all. Her greatest loves were her family, her friends, and the Church.

She had a smile that would light up the room, a contagious laugh, and knew no stranger. She was beautiful, compassionate, sassy, and loving. We miss her already!

Her funeral will be held Thursday December 23^rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Russon Mortuary Chapel at 295 N. Main Street in Bountiful, Utah with a viewing from 12:30p.m.-1:30 p.m. prior to the services. She will be buried in the Bountiful Utah Cemetery next to the love of her life.
