Lola Emme Call

December 4, 2009 — November 6, 2021

On Saturday, November 6, 2021, our sweet, perfect Lola Emme Call, 11, leapt into the arms of her loving Savior following a tragic accident. Our hearts are broken, yet we find comfort in remembering the light and happiness that she emanated.

Lola, star of our hearts, was born Friday, December 4, 2009, on a cold and snowy day. She has brought joy and warmth to the world ever since.

Our Lola was a talented young lady. She was trained in ballet. When she performed, she sparkled from her fingers to her toes. Lola loved to bake with her mom. She put on bake sales that wowed her frequently returning customers. With the help of her dad, Lola became a great skier. She enjoyed being outside. Lola was a brilliant artist and a skilled crafter. She was resourceful and figured things out on her own, a fact that made her parents proud.

Always clever, Lola came up with her family’s best ideas. She implemented them with a perfect mix of style, humor, and fun. She threw an epic and somehow classy goat wedding in her backyard. The event included refreshments, surprisingly gorgeous floral arrangements, and a dress code for the neighborhood children who attended. Other Lola originals include: moonlit goat walks, bike rides with her chickens perched on her handlebars, Spooky Spy Itch Your Eye, impromptu trips to Walmart with her dad for ugly t-shirts, and chicken puppet shows. Many of her greatest ideas involved her farm animals, to whom she was completely devoted.

Lola was the oldest of four siblings. She and her brother Crosby were fast friends. They had their own secret language, voluntarily shared a bed like the Willy Wonka grandparents, and chatted into the wee hours most nights. Lola was idolized by her younger sisters, Sylvie and Phoebe. They coveted her beautiful “summer skin”, pretty long blonde hair, stylish flair, and…hoverboard. Lola took time to play with her sisters and make them feel special.

Lola was thoughtful. She remembered friends’ important dates and the favorite things of her loved ones. Lola was perceptive. She noticed when someone needed a friend or when her mom needed a boost and she acted to fix the situation. Lola was capable. She tended to her animals, even performing the messiest jobs with a smile. She took care of herself and was a superstar babysitter. Lola was hilarious. She had a quirky and mature sense of humor that brought so much laughter to those around her. Lola was faithful. She had a sweet and pure understanding of Jesus Christ and His role in her life. She recently attended the temple, an experience that she treasured and was excited to repeat. She enjoyed participating in Young Women’s classes and activities.

Lola was pure sunshine. The world is less sparkly without our wonderful girl.

Lola will be deeply missed by her parents, Zann and Emilee Call, siblings, Crosby, Sylvie, and Phoebe Call, as well as countless grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was greeted in Heaven by her cousin Bucky and her great grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville 2nd Ward, 25 S. 200 E., Kaysville, UT.
