Lola Mitchell

October 25, 1934 — July 30, 2014

Lola Stone Mitchell was born October 25, 1934 in Paris, Idaho and passed away July 30, 2014. Lola was the daughter of Athol Allred and Hortense Mary Bolton Stone. She was sealed for time and all eternity to John Kenneth Mitchell in the Salt Lake Temple, December 20, 1963. John and Lola celebrated their 50th anniversary this past year. Lola served an LDS mission in the Central British mission. Lola graduated from BYU. She was an elementary school teacher for 30 years. She taught in Idaho, California, Utah and Saudi Arabia. Lola had a strong testimony and her sweet spirit always testified of the love of the Savior.
Lola leaves behind her sweetheart, John Kenneth Mitchell; her daughters, Shauna (Dean) Forbes and Saundra (Bill) Reiber; her 8 grandchildren Chelsea, Christian, McKenzie and Cody Forbes; Alexia, Ariana, Billy and Alissa Reiber; her siblings Rhea Deakin, Rodney Stone (Jan). She was preceded in death by her son John Bradley Mitchell; parents Athol and Hortense Stone; sisters Alice Hillman and Elaine Lamphear; brother Robert Stone. The family wishes to thank Sunrise Hospice for their loving care of Lola – especially, Dani and Kathie, who were her angels here on earth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Val Verda 2nd Ward, 3317 South 800 West, Bountiful. Friends and family may visit Monday, between 6 and 8 p.m., at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Tuesday morning, 9:45-10:45 a.m., at the church.
