Loretta Taylor Kerr

Loretta Taylor Kerr passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 21, 2021 from complications of cancer.  Loretta was born on August 25, 1943 to Kent Avon and Henrietta Luke Taylor in Caliente, Nevada.

She grew up in Provo and Bountiful, Utah.  She married Gordon Moss Kerr and they raised 2 children together, Jay Dee and Lori, in West Bountiful, Utah until his death in 1988.

Loretta was her happiest spending time with her family and friends.  She was a strong, independent and very giving and loving person.  She lived life on her own terms.  We will miss you Grammy.  We love you Mom.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Gordon, father Kent Avon, mother Retta, and baby granddaughter Lucy.

She is survived by her children Jay Dee (Talena) Kerr and Lori (Todd) Watts.  She had 5 loving grandchildren: Jacob (Kailey), Tyler (Savana), Abigail, Aaron, and Zoey.  She had 3 great grandchildren: Roman, Jameson, and Isabelle.  She is also survived by her 2 sisters Avona (LaRell) Wright and Barbara (Clark) Robinson.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary.  Following cremation internment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Bountiful, Utah.
