Kind, sweet, loving Lori Jean, died peacefully surrounded by family on January 29, 2018 after a valiant 5 year battle with metastatic Breast/lymph/brain cancer.
Born Loretta Jean Gannon on October 6, 1957 to Robert Lee Gannon and Lillian Marylene Epperson in Salt Lake City, Utah. Grew up in Bountiful, UT. Was a lover of Poutine and Lee's Café, horses and humanity. Always saw the best in everyone.
Joined United States Army Reserves where she was trained as a photographer. She then worked as a civil servant at HAFB painting jets until her dreams of being a mother were realized and she spent the rest of her life loving being a mother and grandmother, helping to care daily for her grandchildren. Lori bought her first house at 18 and was a millionaire on paper by the age of 19.
Married Eric Michael Santiago on August 27, 1987. Widowed March 22, 1991. Later married Irvin Rasmussen on November 22, 2008 in Snowville, UT (later divorced)
Survived by daughter, LoriAnn Erica Destiny (Ryan) Smith; son, Alexander Leonn Santiago; grandchildren: Ava Rose Josephson, Ryker Young, and Jaxon Smith; sisters, Marylene Gail (Kenny) Young, Shonna Lynn Alva; and brother, Robert Gannon; along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by Mother, Brother D'Owen, Father, Daughter, Angela, Husband, Eric Santiago.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Bountiful, LDS Chapel, 102 East 1400 South, where a viewing will be held from 12:45-1:45 pm prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery.
