May 6, 1936 — January 10, 2021

Lorie Ann Low Holbrook Walker

Born May 6, 1936, passed peacefully on January 10, 2021.

Lorie was best known for the making of many magical memories for girls who attended Camp Piuta for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She was a lover of desert scapes and all things Southwest.  She was an avid rock hounder and enjoyed many years of her retirement travelling with her beloved soul mate, Richard Walker, in their motorhome.

Lorie worked for the Davis School District for 33 years and played Canasta almost every day with the same co-workers for at least 25 of those years.

She was a gifted gardener and excellent cook, using her home-grown vegetables and fruits to work miracles in her kitchen.  She lived in the same home in Bountiful for 56 years before moving to Creekside Assisted Living for the last two and a half years of her life.

Blooming cactuses, intricate Indian bead work, card making and cross stitch – she has left a legacy of beautiful craft items to her family and friends.

She is survived by 1 son, 3 daughters, 2 stepsons, 1 stepdaughter, 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, as well as a whole lot of happy campers who enjoyed her outdoor talents over the years.

At Lorie’s request a private family service was held.  Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
