Lorraine Sorenson

Lorraine Stevens Sorenson, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and loving friend, returned to the arms of her eternal sweetheart peacefully, Tuesday, March 20, 2007 in Orem, Utah at the home of her daughter, Carol. Lorraine was born on February 27, 1917 in Redmond, Utah to Wilford and Ruby Eliza Christensen Stevens. She graduated from South Sevier High School. She married her sweetheart, Orris Sorenson on October 1, 1935. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple for time and all eternity on March 3, 1936. Lorraine was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many church positions, where she loved serving people. Lorraine and Orris served a mission to the North Western States Mission, the same mission her Father served in many years before. They loved to travel in their motor home. She had never turned anyone away that needed a place to stay. Children: Colleen – deceased Robert Scott, Carol Arthur Powell, Duane Kay Sorenson, Dale Ty Nea Sorenson, Cheryl Jim Gaines, Dean Karlene Sorenson, Foster Son Nathan Germaine Wilkinson; 51 Grandchildren; 114 Great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Dan Stevens, Rhea Criddle – deceased, Ted Stevens, David Stevens – deceased, Dorthy Kate Barney and Valleen Jensen. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful 53rd Ward Chapel, 1400 North 650 East. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Saturday morning from 9:4 5- 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery. Family would like to thank A-Plus Hospice Group of Orem, Utah for the loving care that was shown to our sweet Mother.
