Louise Barbara Douglas Green

April 4, 1923 — December 30, 2015

Louise Barbara Douglas Green passed away in her home, surrounded by her husband and family on December 30, 2015.

Louise was born April 4, 1923 in Salt Lake City to William Douglas and Irene Langton Douglas.  She was the 4th of 7 Children.  She graduated from South High School.  On April 13, 1942 she married O. King Green and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.  Together they had 4 sons; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren whom she dearly loved.  She devoted her life to her family.

Louise and King raised their family in Bountiful, first in the home they built in 1946 and then in their present home which they built in 1955.  During WWII Louise worked as a stenographer.  She held several callings as an active member of the LDS Church.  In her later life she endured many health problems yet still out lived her siblings.  She loved to spend time with her husband at their cabin in the Uinta Mountains where she was able to find peace.  She loved her trips to Yellowstone; get-togethers with her sisters every Thursday; enjoyed a close family relationship with her parents and siblings; was a talented pianist and loved playing the organ.

Louise is survived by her husband, King, Sons Douglas (Pia), Roger (Kaye), Scott (Linda) and many grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her son Steven, and grandchildren Lisa and Harley.
