On the morning of October 4th, Louise Nebeker Gordon passed away peacefully at the age of 89.
Louise was born in Salt Lake City on January 15th 1935 to Ned and Evelyn Nebeker. Her early childhood years were spent on the family ranch in Daggett County, Utah where she loved riding horses and enjoying the outdoors. As a teenager, Louise relocated to Murray, Utah and later graduated with a teaching degree from Brigham Young University.
She married Dean Frank Gordon in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22, 1958. Dean and Louise settled in Bountiful, Utah where they raised four sons and one daughter.
Louise lived a life of service as a decorated scout leader, caring neighbor, and proud member of the DUP. She loved her scouts, missionaries, and all primary callings best.
Louise is survived by her brother Glen Nebeker; children Jay (Debbie) Gordon, Hal (Jean)Gordon, David (Cara) Gordon, Karen (Jim) Checketts, and Keith (Megan) Gordon; 17grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday Oct 14, 2024 at the Bountiful 27th Ward Chapel, 1145 N 200 E, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday Oct 13 6-8pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Monday morning 9:45 -10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
