Lowell Larson of Farmington passed on Friday the 13th, 2016 in the Lakeview Hospital from kidney failure. He is the son of Rueben and Alma Larson of Benedict, North Dakota.
Dad served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea.
Later on he worked at HAFB for 30 years. His career was very successful.
As the Crew Chief of detachment 36, he was awarded many citations of achievement and 65 outstanding awards for maintaining the missile silo communications throughout the upper Midwest.
His last assignment was to repair test equipment for PEML of HAFB. He retired in 1976. Dad bought his family farm in North Dakota where he planned to raise horses. Sherel McCullough, his wife of 60 years, helped restore the old family farm until her passing in 2011.
Dad is the last son to pass on, having two surviving sisters (living in Washington) and his four children; daughters: Carol Lee Hailstone (Robert) and Kristine Combs (Terry); two sons Robin Larson (Julie) and Curtis and their families.
Grave side services are at 2 p.m. on Thursday the 19th of May, 2016 at the Farmington Cemetery.
The service will include a short eulogy and grave dedication. Bring flowers if you wish to the grave site or send contributions to Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary.
