Lucille Call Stringham returned to her Heavenly Father on June 27, 2018 at her home in Bountiful, Utah, surrounded by loving family members. She was born December 13, 1926 in Layton, Utah, to David Call Jr. and Olive Bertha Clark Call. She grew up on the family farm in Bountiful working alongside her brothers and sisters; graduated from Davis High School, attended Utah State Agricultural College. She married Robert Moss Stringham November 15, 1946. They had nine children: Mark (Jan), Robert David, John Dell (Mary Ellen), Myrna Hansen (Ken), Catherine Sorensen (Bryant), Janet Andersen (Keven), Loraine Stringham, Phillip Stringham, Marian Remy (Michael). Her posterity includes 24 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
Lucille was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Bob served 15 years as service Missionaries at the Museum of Church History and Art. During her life she also served in many church positions including Relief Society President. She was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She spent many years working with the 4H program and the Davis County Fair supervising exhibits and judging.
Lucille is survived by her children, her siblings; J. David Call, Orland Call, Phyllis Ball, Ann Kammerman, Henry Call. Preceded in death by her husband Robert Moss Stringham and her parents, one granddaughter, Mary, two great grandchildren, Kira and Bruce.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Bountiful 22nd Ward, 990 North 100 West, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Tuesday morning 9:45-10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
