Lucy Carol Lockwood

Lucy Carol Brown Lockwood passed away peacefully on March 29, 2012
at the age of 93. She was born Dec. 13, 1918 to John Lewis Brown and Lucy Elizabeth Fisher in Murray, Utah.
Carol attended Arlington grade school, Murray Jr. High and graduated from Murray High School in 1937. She also attended L.D.S. Business College.
She married Dean Loveless and had 2 children, Caroleen and Lawrence. Dean’s employment with U and I sugar gave Carol the opportunity to live in Utah, Idaho, and Montana. Marriage ended in divorce.
Married Adrian Slotboom Lockwood in November of 1946. To this union was born 4 children. Jan Adrian, Sheriann, Patricia, and Michael Slotboom.
Carol worked at the Federal building in the clerical department. Later she went to work at Hill Air Force Base, where she was responsible for ordering, maintaining, and the distribution of small arms ammunition until her retirement after 22 years of service.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Was an active member of the Bountiful Lady Lions, and enjoyed serving as a Davis County Election Judge. Carol also enjoyed traveling to the Rose Parade, Europe, and the Tetons to name a few. Her favorite and most loved were her trips to Paris.
Carol is survived by Caroleen Williams (CA), SGM (Ret) Sheriann (Archie Garner) Lockwood (D.C.), Patricia (Dennis) Stephens (So. Weber), and Michael S. (Cheri) Lockwood (Wash. Terrace). 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband Adrian S., sons Jan Adrian and Lawrence, sister, brother and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday April 2, 2012 at 10am. Friends may visit with the family Sunday from 6-8pm. and Monday from 8:30 – 9:45 am. Both of the viewings and funeral will be held at the Barton Creek Ward, located at 640 South 750 East, Bountiful, Utah. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in Salt Lake City.
