LuDean Griffin Hulse, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister passed away November 4, 2015 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born February 25, 1924 to Royal Joseph and Mabel Evelyn Griffin in Newton, Utah.  She married her sweetheart, Ariel Ashcroft Hulse, on September 5, 1947 in the Logan LDS Temple.

LuDean graduated from Logan High in 1942.  She joined the Cadet Nursing program at the William Budge Hospital in Logan.  She graduated from Utah State University in 1948 as valedictorian of her nursing class.  LuDean focused her efforts on her family and in church service.  In 1967, she returned to nursing at Deaconess Hospital in Great Falls, Montana.  Upon the family's return to Utah, she worked at Saint Marks Hospital, South Davis Community Hospital and Lakeview Hospital as a supervisor.

LuDean loved the Lord and her family with all of her soul.  She served as a Cub Scout den mother and in many positions in Primary and Relief Society.   LuDean served as a stake Relief Society President while the family lived in Montana.  She supported her husband in all of his church service as bishop twice and for over 20 years as the stake clerk.  One of the highlights of her life was to serve a mission with Ariel at the Washington D.C. Temple from 1988-1989.  She was a cherished friend and example to all who knew her.

LuDean was a wonderful homemaker.  Her potato salad, hot rolls and cheeseballs were amazing.  Her family will always remember the yummy caramels, divinity and fudge she made during the holidays.  LuDean was a gifted crochet artist and every family member received and loved her beautiful crocheted blankets.  She also was a talented quilter.

She is survived by her five children: Russell Kay (Carolyn) Hulse, James David (Janice) Hulse, Linda (Rodney) Schvaneveldt, Dale Edward (Tamara) Hulse, and Ralph Paul (Daria) Hulse, 29 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.
