Luisa Eugenia Baruque

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Luisa Eugenia Baruque on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the age of 84. Beloved mother, cherished grandmother, aunt and dear friend, she peacefully departed this world surrounded by her loved ones. Luisa was born on October 2 in Bogotá, Colombia. She led a life marked by love, kindness, and generosity, always putting the needs of others before her own. As a devoted mother, she instilled in her children the values of integrity, compassion, and resilience. 

She leaves behind her children, Eblyn and Chafi, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. She was also a loving grandmother to Marcus and Manny, and her warmth and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Luisa had a passion for dance and board games which brought joy and inspiration to those around her. Her community involvement and dedication to be the nurse on call left a lasting impact on many lives. 

A viewing will take place from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, May 23, at Russon Mortuary, 1941 N Main Street, Farmington, Utah. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 12 pm at the Kaysville 17^th Ward Meetinghouse, 875 E. 200 N. Kaysville, Utah. Prior to the service a viewing will be held at the church from 10:30-11:30 am.

The funeral service will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary Live Facebook page and on this obituary page below. The livestream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to the service at 12 pm. 

We find comfort in knowing that Luisa is now at peace, reunited with those who preceded her in death, including her parents, Tufi and Maria Luisa, her brother Hugo Baruque, and her beloved husband Gonzalito. Mom, you were our guiding light, and your legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever.
