LuJean Brown Erickson
1927-2012
Surrounded by her family on her 85th birthday, LuJean Brown Erickson left this world and was reunited with her sweetheart after 44 years of separation on March 21, 2012. LuJean was born on March 21, 1927 to Joseph Lorain and Mabel Luella Wilkes in Fairview, Wyoming. She married Glenn C. Erickson on May 3, 1947; he passed away on September 18, 1968. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Mom served in many church callings throughout her life. After losing her husband she courageously took on the job of raising 5 children alone and was a perfect example of service, love, and sacrifice. She worked for the State of Utah for 30 years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, sisters (Valene Tolman, June Barrus), brothers (Mack W. Brown, Lorain Junior Brown), son (Kelly), 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is survived by her children Connie (Paul) Jeppesen, Gary (Debbie) Erickson, Lynn (Trisha) Erickson, Glenna (Wade) Frey, and daughter-in-law, Gayle Erickson. Her posterity includes 23 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Rose Park North Stake Center, 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, March 26 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, or at the church from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
