LuJuana Child

LuJuana Halling Child passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the age of 91. Born on May 2, 1931, in Mantua, UT to Osmond C. Halling and Mildred Nelson Halling.

She lived her younger years in Mantua, enjoying being around many family members. LuJuana called Plain City, UT home after living there for 57 years.  As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she enjoyed the many positions she held.  She was a longtime member of The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

She did hair in her home for 13 years transferring to ZCMI for 20 years, returning to her home salon. Doing hair resulted in many long-lasting friendships.  Mom was a cancer survivor.

LuJuana is survived by her 4 children: M. Raun Child (Geri), Kent P. Child (Debbie), Carma Bybee (John), Patti Poulter (Steve), 14 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Beverly Applonie and brother Osmond F. Halling.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Russon Mortuary, Syracuse 1585 W. 300 S. where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45 am prior to the services.  Services will be streamed live on Russon Mortuary Facebook page and this obituary page.

Internment will be at the Mantua cemetery.
