Lyndon Evans

April 1, 1939 — April 24, 2014

Lyndon Ray Evans, 75, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, of Grace, Idaho passed away on April 24, 2014.

He was born to Ray and Barbara Evans on April 1, 1939 in Ogden, Utah. He was married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 22, 1961 to his sweetheart, Lee Ann Hess. They were married for 52 years. He graduated from Davis High School (’57) and the University of Utah (’62) with a BS in Economics. He completed a graduate degree in Banking from Rutgers University (’73).

He worked for the FDIC for 35 years in Utah, Oregon, Colorado, and California. He had a successful career, but longed to get back to the country life and spent the last 12 years working on the ranch and at their home in Idaho. He loved working with his horses and playing with his grandchildren. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled his callings with pride and always went the extra mile. He loved to spend time with his family and friends in the outdoors. The annual hunting trip, family boat outings, and reunions were always a special time.
Lyndon will be remembered by his family for his unconditional love and service. We find comfort in his legacy of service, hard work, generosity and the integrity of which he lived his life. He was a good neighbor and loyal friend, loved by his family whom he supported in all they did.
He is survived by his wife Lee Ann, his brother, James (Claudette) Evans, Farmington; sister, Alyson (Mark) Brown, Kaysville; and four children: Tamera (Doug) Barnes, Oregon; Mark (Robyn) Evans, Pleasant Grove; Lance (Jennifer) Evans, Kansas; Kimberly (Huy) Nguyen, Texas; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Williams Ward Chapel, 2060 Niter Bench Rd., Niter, Idaho with a viewing from 9:30-11:30 prior to services.
There will be a graveside service at 11:30 am, Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Farmington City Cemetery, 200 East 500 South, Farmington, Utah.
