Maeser Edwards

Maeser Garth Edwards passed away November 26, 2010 at the age of 86. He was a loving son, husband, father, uncle and grandfather. He was born on June 14, 1924 to George Q and Emma Serene Edwards in Delta, Utah. Maeser served in the Navy during World War II. He married Artis Briggs in the Salt Lake Temple in 1948. They were blessed with two sons, Steven and Dean. Artis passed away in 1988. He married Colleen Mortensen Pert in 1992. Maeser owned and operated Pennock Pest Control for 30 years. He and Colleen served an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Illinois, Nauvoo Mission from 1995 to 1996. He worked as a temple worker in the Salt Lake and Bountiful temples. He is survived by his wife, Colleen, sons Steve (Pattie), Dean (Ronda) and a step-daughter Chris (Dave) Young and 11 grandchildren. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. A viewing was held Tuesday, November 30th from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 1st from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 N Main, Bountiful. A funeral service was held at Russon Brothers Mortuary on Wednesday, December 1st at 2:00 p.m. Interment Bountiful Cemetery with military honors.
