Maglene Ray Andersen

August 9, 1932 — February 13, 2018

Maglene Ray Andersen 85 died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 of cancer.  She was born 9 August, 1932 in rural Lancaster County, PA to Thomas Spencer Ray and Trixie Stanley.

While working as a secretary at Bainbridge Naval Training Center MD she met her husband John Charles Andersen.  They married 12 March 1954.

She spent the next 14 years as a military wife living on both the east and west coasts and Iceland.

On Charlie’s retirement from the Navy, they moved to Utah.  For ten years Maglene, Charlie and boys ran “Andersen Chevron” gas station.  She also worked as one of the first secretaries at DATC.  The people she worked with said that she was the “glue” that held the place together.

On their retirement they traveled the western states with their RV.  She was 1st and always a loving wife and mother.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother Tom Ray and infant son Charles J.

Survived by her husband of Centerville, her brother Jim (Lois) Ray of PA, son’s Chuck (Suanne), Dave (Jackie), Randy (Sherrie), and Chris.  7 grandsons and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Farmington City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018.
