Bountiful, Ut – Maren Lynn Biggs Jensen, 80, died October 30, 2016 due to an ongoing illness. She was born September 19, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois, and was adopted by Lee and Maxine Biggs on October 31, 1936.
She married Gilbert Stanley Jensen (deceased) of Malad, Idaho on October 3, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple July 10, 1987.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Cindy) Jensen; grandchildren, Mandy Munden (Scott) and Brindy Solomon (Wes Bates); great-grandchildren, Karlee and Peyton Munden; brothers, John (Ruth) Biggs, Paul (Pat) Biggs, and many nieces and nephews.
Maren was a nurse for 35 years and worked in many area hospitals including the University of Utah, St. Mark’s, Lakeview and South Davis Community Hospital.
Maren was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (Flowing Wells Camp) and served in many capacities including captain. She loved working on her family’s genealogy and having family around her. She loved sports, especially the Chicago teams; the Cubs, the Bears and the Blackhawks.
She loved her religion and reading her scriptures. She loved her Lord and Savior.
She spent the last few months at South Davis Community Hospital where she made many friends with the staff and patients.
A memorial service will be held in her honor from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Bountiful 12th Ward, 1476 North 300 West, Bountiful, with a remembrance gathering following the service.
