Margaret Bates

Margaret was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Her selfless generosity and kindness will continue to inspire and she will remain in our hearts always. She was a beautiful seamstress and loved making quilts along with her many hobbies. She was an accomplished golfer. Margaret was born to Thomas and Jannett Owen. She married the love of her life Gordon Bates on May 24, 1935.
Survived by her 3 children and their spouses, Gordon Ronald Bates (Roselyn) Gilbert Az. Sondra Saunders (Clark) Woods Cross Ut. Ralph Bates (Fredra) Laguna Beach Ca. 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. 2 sisters, Lillian Burton and Gladys Owen.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, 2 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

The family would like to thank Life Care Center of Bountiful for their loving and thoughtful care in her final years.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday November 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful Utah, where friends and family can visit prior to services beginning at 10:00 am.
