July 27, 1929 — July 26, 2016

Born:  July 27, 1929 in Monroe, Wisconsin

Died:  July 26, 2016 in Bountiful, Utah, the day before 87th  birthday.

Margaret was the older of two children born to Walter Gerhardt Ufer & Raechel Margareta Wecke, both deceased.  Her sibling, Ernest Ufer was 7 years younger than Margaret.  Ernest died at age 10 after being hit by a car while crossing the highway on a bicycle in front of his home in rural Wisconsin.

Margaret graduated from South Wayne High School in South Wayne, Wisconsin.  Margaret won a Pepsi Scholarship for college due to being the Valedictorian of her high school graduating class, along with awards for scholarship and her musical talent.

Margaret was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in April 1974, a month after her daughter joined the Church.  Margaret served in many callings including pianist, teacher, and organist.

Margaret worked in various jobs as a bookkeeper and typesetter.  After she retired she became a Senior Companion, and was of service to others for many years.  After she retired from that service program she eventually became a recipient, with Bonnie Mundun being her Senior Companion.

Margaret lived at The Meadows for about 25 years.  Until her death she was the longest resident at The Meadows.  Margaret had many friends at The Meadows, some deceased, and some still there today.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Ann Brog Hampton (62), and her son Edric Brog (57); four grandchildren: Karl “Paul” Biesinger (40), Kirsten Rachel Argall (37), Valeri Margaret Brog (36), and Andrew Alma Brog (34); and 10 great-grandchildren.
