Margaret George

November 15, 1923 — March 5, 2014

Madge passed peacefully at her home in Bountiful, Utah surrounded by her family. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph and Zola Andersen. Madge was the third of eight children. She spent her early years in Salt Lake City, Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Bountiful. She attended West High and graduated Davis High. Madge married Rex L. George on August 23, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were married 53 years. Madge and Rex served an LDS mission to the Chicago Temple in 1986; dad used to say that was the frosting on their wedding cake.
Madge is survived by Aaron Gerald (June), Rex Kent (Sharon), Marvin L. (Kristy), Karin Zola Wolfe (Joseph), her litter sister Dionne (Austin) Riggs.
Preceded in death were daughter, Maureen, son, Val J., granddaughter, Sherilyn, husband, Rex L, three brothers, three sisters and her parents. She leaves behind a legacy of 19 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Stone Creek Ward House, 1476 North 300 West, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Tuesday morning at the church one hour prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
