Margaret Pitt

November 14, 1933 — May 1, 2014

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, Margaret passed through the veil Thursday, May 1, 2014. Margaret (80) was born in Tooele, Utah on November 14, 1933, the third child of George S. Park & Vera Olive Boyle. She lived in Tooele until age 12, when her parents moved to a ranch in Meeker, Colorado, where she enjoyed ranching and riding horses with her father. She graduated from Meeker High School in 1952. In 1956, she was one of the first nursing graduates from Brigham Young University.

Margaret married Charles H. Pitt on June 8, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Stadium Village at the University of Utah, where she became the mother of two boys, Roland & William. After Charles graduated in 1960, they moved to Cambridge, England, where he continued his studies and where Jennifer was born. After returning to Utah, she was a registered nurse at LDS Hospital and later at Lakeview Hospital, where she specialized in intensive care nursing. She lived in the avenues of Salt Lake City where Wendy was born in 1962. Wendy lived for about a half hour. She and her family moved to a new home in Bountiful, Utah in 1962, where Rosanne and Barbara were born, making the family complete. Margaret also was an office nurse for Dr. Guyman and Dr. Clarke where she touched many lives. Marge was an active member of the LDS Church. She served as a Relief Society President, in many teaching positions and as a temple worker in the Bountiful Temple for ten years. She and Charles served a full-time mission in the Madrid, Spain Temple in 1999-2000.

Margaret is now spending time with her parents George and Vera, her siblings Jim and Dorothy, and her daughter, Wendy. Her family will miss her until we see her again – her husband, Charles, her children, Roland, Bill (Stacee), Jennifer Bredthauer (Carl), Rosanne, Barbara Terrill (Scott). She is the proud grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 10.
