Margaret Savage Adams Allen passed away on Oct. 6, 2016. Margaret was born Sep. 11, 1932 in her grandparent’s home in Hyrum Utah. She attended college at Utah State Agriculture College (Utah State University) in Logan Utah. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. After graduation she took a job teaching home economics and sewing at Central Davis Jr. High in Layton Utah. On Mar 28, 1957 she married her sweetheart, Richard C. Allen in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They moved to Kaysville where she lived until her death. Margaret loved her children and spent much of her life raising her children. In 1978 she returned to teaching Home Economics and later as the Media Center Director at Kaysville Jr. High. She retired in 1994. Margaret traveled the world with her husband, but mostly enjoyed time at home with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret was active in the L.D.S. Church and at the time of her passing was serving as the Ward Librarian. She was a member of the Kaysville Literary Club, Bayview Women’s Club, and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her husband and her 3 brothers, half-sister, half-brother and parents. She is survived by her 3 sons, Richard (Sharon), Tom (Rayleen), and Scott (Mary). She is also survived by 2 brothers-in-law, 1 sister in-law, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Davis Hospital, Thatcher Brook Rehab Center, and Cascade Springs Hospice for their loving and gentle care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wed. Oct. 12 at the Kaysville 2nd North Chapel 875 E. 200 N. Kaysville. A viewing will be held that morning beginning at 9:30. A public viewing will also be held Tuesday evening Oct. 11 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Russon Bros. Mortuary in Farmington. In lieu of flowers donations to the L.D.S. Church Perpetual Education Fund would be appreciated.
