Margaret Schriever

d. March 14, 2007

Margaret S. Schriever, age 90, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 in Sandy, Utah. She was born September 30, 1916 in Salt Lake City the daughter of Percy B. and Agnes S. Schofield. She attended East High School and graduated from the University of Utah at 19 years of age. She married LaVerl L. Schriever September 1, 1938 after falling in love with him many years before probably because of his Model A Roadster. They had 3 sons and a daughter. She taught Kindergarten and First Grade for over 35 years. She taught generations of Bountiful kids at West Bountiful and Hannah Holbrook Elementary Schools. She loved to read but her favorite pastime was to ?worry? about her family and they have given her plenty to worry about. She gave service constantly to family and friends. A single request by one of her family members or others and, without hesitation, she would drive cross country to help out and do something them. As she aged it was hard for her to accept anyone doing something for her, thinking she should not be putting people out! Margaret is survived by her son Jerry, daughter Suzanne, 13 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband La Verl, sisters Norma and Velda, brother John, sons Richard and Robert and daughter in law Mary.. Very recently, she also lost her life long friend and sister in law Mary S. Schriever. We all know they could not wait to get back together again. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful Tabernacle Main and Center Street in Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Tuesday morning 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
