Margorie Plant

Margorie Plant, age 79, died August 10, 2013 from causes incident to age. She was born January 11, 1934, to Leonard Niels Plant and Hilda Drechsel Plant.

She graduated South High School 1952. She was an avid skier and jumper in her youth as well as a horseback rider and saxophone player. She loved collecting Asian art, entertaining and playing bridge with her friends. She was a member of the LDS Church. She moved to California 1953, working in the insurance industry, then moved to Los Angeles. She spent part of her career in high-end talent agencies and entertainment advertising before finding a successful career in real estate. She moved back to SLC in 1991 and continued with her real estate career and volunteered at SL County Performing Arts. She loved having fun in life and was very brave in her choices.

Survived by her brother, Niels L. (Nellie) Plant; sister, Colleen P. (Dave) Raschiatore; nieces: Heidi Plant, Nicole (James) Servey, Lisa Raschiatore and Michelle (Nate) Jones.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Russon Brothers Mortuary at 255 S. 200 E., Salt Lake City, on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 6-8 pm. Interment will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
