Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Marie Sabin Ray, 84, passed away on October 30, 2014.
Marie was born on February 7, 1930 in Salem, Utah to Henry Elmer and Lillie Sabin. Marie graduated from Spanish Fork High School. The day after graduating from Brigham Young University, she married her sweet husband, Guy Burnell Ray, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 4, 1952.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. She served a mission with her husband on Temple Square and was an Ordinance Worker in the Bountiful Temple.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was loved by many. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Guy Burnell Ray, and children: Linda, Dave (Susan), Larry (Gaye), Marilyn Badham (Dave), and Russell (Cindy). Her siblings: Marvin Sabin, Evelyn (Ken) Peck, and Leora (Bruce) Brockbank. She was known as the cookie grandma and is survived by her 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who all loved her cookies.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7 at the Mueller Park Stake Center, 1800 East Mueller Park Road (1800 So.) Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call Thursday, November 6 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Bountiful, Utah from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and from 9:30-10:30 prior to the funeral at the church.
