Bountiful, UT – Marilyn Christensen Wagstaff, our devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, quietly passed away of natural causes at the age of 78 on Monday, April 11, 2016.
Marilyn was born on September 13, 1937, to Virginia Laverne Duke and Max Andrew Christensen in Provo, Utah. She was the second of four daughters. In her early years, happiness and fun were found in family, friends, church and school. Marilyn graduated from South High School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On February 10, 1955, she married Nathan Moss Wagstaff in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised four children, who she loved dearly. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and joy. Their home was lovingly filled with baked goodies, homemade jams, canned peaches and delicious meals. Interests included sewing, travel, long walks, reading and camping.
Marilyn leaves behind her beloved husband of 61 years; their children: Vincent (Cindy) Wagstaff, Karen Banford, Heather Weight, Craig (Christy) Wagstaff; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, with one on the way; her sisters: Carol McKissick (Brian Miller), Maxine (Dean) Larsen and Robynn Christensen. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016, at 11 am, Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may visit Sunday, April 17, from 6-8 pm at the mortuary as well as from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
