Marilyn Forbes

Yesterday, July 10, 2019 while in a peaceful sleep, the world lost one of its best. Marilyn was born August 14th 1951 to Earl and Ellen Staples in SLC Ut. She was the oldest of 4 children (Gayle, Barbara, and Jim). She spent the majority of her childhood in Woods Cross, Utah where she met and married her lifelong friend and husband Gordon Forbes. She was a childcare provider for more than 30 years and a Mother to most, if not all of the children she watched over. This was a profession she truly loved and lived for. She also was an amazing wife, mother and friend. Her granddaughters and grandson were her life and her greatest joy in which she took great pleasure in spoiling as much as possible. She has touched so many with her life and she will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her Father, Marion Earl Staples and Mother, Ellen Staples. Marilyn is survived by her husband Gordon Bud Forbes; her 2 children: Jamie Byron Forbes (Amber Forbes, wife) and Kirk Ryan Forbes (Audra Forbes, wife); 6 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; two sisters and one brother.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m.  – 12:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful.
