Doris Marilyn Bytheway Seifert (83) of Bountiful, Utah passed away October 22, 2017.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 30, 1934. The first born of Alvin Kendrick and Doris Brimhall Bytheway.
She graduated from South High School in 1952. Married Martin Wayman Seifert, August 22, 1953 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She held many leadership positions in the Church. With her husband, she served a mission in the Provo Utah Cove Fort Mission in 1997. In the year 2000, they served a mission at the Cody, Wyoming Visitors Center. Together they served as ordinance workers in the Bountiful, Utah Temple.
She is survived by her six children, Michael W. (Vicky), St. George, UT, Merrill R. (Ferne), Barstow, CA, Mary Lou (Kelly) Bangerter, Jerome, ID, M. Russell (Pam), Bountiful, UT, Roger L. (Andrea), Bountiful, UT, Marianne (David) Potter, Canton, GA, twenty two grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers, A. Ray (Carol) Bytheway, Camarillo, CA, David J. (Dorthy) Bytheway, West Bountiful, UT.
Preceded in death by her husband Martin, parents, a daughter Maureen Kay, a son Mitchell, a granddaughter Sandra Ferne, a grandson Jason Cooper, and a great granddaughter Aerilynn Michelle Seifert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Val Verda 2nd Ward chapel, 3317 S. 800 W., Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah, and Monday from 9:45 – 10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
