She attended art classes and loved teaching others to paint. Many of her paintings hang in the homes of family members. She married Fred Horst Richter on May 4, 1940 in Toronto, Canada, where they had their first of eleven children. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 27, 1961.
