Marion Iverson Jenson
1936-2012
Marion Iverson Jenson returned to the arms of her Heavenly Father, her husband, great-granddaughter and other family members after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her many acts of quiet kindness and service will be missed by all who knew her. She made everyone feel important, and she brightened their lives with her phone calls and visits. Making a friend is easy, but being a friend takes a lifetime and Marion knew how to be a friend. Her family was her pride and joy. She treasured the closeness of the entire family and enjoyed their many gatherings, activities and trips together. She was appreciative of all of their love and concern for her during her illness.
Marion was born to Ernest and Dagmar Iverson on October 21, 1936. She grew up in Brigham City, Utah, and married her best friends (Jan McGregor) brother, Arden Jenson, in the Logan Temple on December 17, 1954. They lived in California for a few years and then made their home in Bountiful, Utah. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many positions of leadership and service. She loved her home and made it a place of love and beauty. She loved music and the arts, and she loved traveling and enjoyed a wonderful trip to Cancun with her entire family a year ago. She is survived by her two sons, Craig (Bev) Jenson, David (Laurie) Jenson, and her daughter Cathy (Garry) Caldwell, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, her sister-in-law and other loving nieces and nephews that were very dear to her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Bountiful 27th Ward Building, 1145 North 200 East. The viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, and Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Appreciation is expressed to Dr. Regina Klein and staff at Utah Cancer Specialists, Rocky Mountain Hospice and all the family and friends who have assisted with her care in her peaceful passing.
