December 13, 1928 — February 14, 2025

Farmington

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great -grandmother, Marjorie ‘Colleen’ Davis Wilcox, who peacefully transitioned on February 14, 2025 at the age of 96.

Colleen was born in Corinne, Utah, the oldest of 10 siblings. Growing up on a farm, she learned early the importance of hard work and family. As the eldest, she helped her mother care for and raise her younger siblings, showing a deep sense of responsibility and love that would define her throughout her life.

Colleen graduated from Box Elder High School and shone in her community as being crowned the Corinne Queen in 1947 and the Gold and Green Queen in 1949. These titles were a testament to her grace and elegance.

On August 6, 1948, Colleen married Joseph Wilcox, in the Logan Utah LDS temple. Together, they built a life full of love and shared memories.

Colleen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served faithfully in various church callings throughout her life. She was dedicated to serving in the relief society presidency and primary, roles in which she touched many lives with her compassion.

She found joy in life’s simplest pleasures- the love of her family, the beauty of the changing seasons or the birds singing outside her window. She cherished the view of the majestic mountains from her front window, a view that always brought her joy. Her home was always open, her heart always welcoming and her kitchen filled with the aromas of comfort food and sweet treats.

She treasured capturing precious moments through her camera, creating a timeless archive of memories. Whether it was a family gathering or a holiday celebration, Colleen preserved those moments and loved to reminisce, often sharing the stories behind each photograph with those she loved.

Books and journaling were her lifelong passions. An avid reader, she found comfort and joy in her favorite books. Her love of literature also led her to become an active member of a literary club in Farmington, where she enjoyed many years of cherished friendships with fellow members. Her journal was a place where she captured her thoughts and reflections.

Colleen leaves behind a beautiful family. She is survived by her three children, Joleen (Mark) Neeley, Pelham Alabama, Brad (Cathy) Wilcox, Syracuse, Valerie (Ray) White Farmington, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Wilcox, parents, Brothers Orville Larue Davis, Robert Wayne Davis, James Deverlle Davis, Noel Kent Davis. Sisters Betty Joyce Davis, Carol Ann Davis.

May her memory be a blessing, and may we honor her by cherishing the moments with those we love and preserving the memories that matter most.
