Mark Briggs returned to his loving Father in Heaven February 18, 2017 in the comfort of his home after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Born Oct. 31, 1962 to Ray and Josephine Briggs, Mark grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and married the love of his life, JaNae Fuller Briggs in the Logan LDS Temple on July 13, 1991.
Mark was a loving father, a caring friend, and avid hunter/outdoorsman. When not in nature, Mark was providing for his family whom he loved with every fiber of his being. Mark truly was a loving and compassionate disciple of Christ and strived to instill that in his family and those he came in contact with. Mark was warm, inviting, humorous, and cared for others no matter what walk of life they came from. Mark was truly a giant among men, who touched the lives of more people than he will ever know. He will be missed by many.
Mark is survived by the love of his life, and eternal companion, JaNae Briggs; Two sons, Dakota and Colton Briggs; His mother, Josephine Briggs; Sisters, Stacy, Lori, and Kimber; many nieces, nephews, brothers and sister-in-laws; and a dog that he would have never admitted that he actually loved, Zoey. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Ray Briggs.
Mark’s viewing will be from 6-8 pm, February 24, 2017 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1475 N 50 E, Centerville, UT 84014, with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 am at the church prior to the service. Please come with a thought or memory of Mark, so the family can have a lasting memorial of their father and husband.
The Briggs family would like to express immense gratitude for all the neighbors, family, friends, and ward members that were so supportive and so willing to help whenever they were asked or whenever they could. We couldn’t have done this without you all.
