Mark Pincock

M. Glade Pincock passed away from cancer at home on February 11, 2012, with his wife and children at his side.
Glade was born August 22, 1935 in Rexburg, ID, the son of Mark L. and LaRee Smith Pincock. He was the oldest of four children. He loved working on the family farms with his dad who referred to him as his “dandy man”.
After a beautiful courtship Glade married the love of his life, Karen Ricks, in June of 1956. The two lived in numerous places before moving to Bountiful, UT in the spring of 1967. They are the parents of five children.
Glade graduated from Caldwell High School and Ricks College. He attended Cornell University earning his Masters and PhD degrees in Agricultural Economics. Glade served faithfully in many leadership and auxiliary positions in the LDS church. Glade and Karen served a mission in Birmingham England and a service mission in Salt Lake City. He enjoyed the outdoors and working in the garden. He was an avid hiker and climbed many of the prominent peaks in the region. He realized a life long goal of having a close and loving relationship with his children and grandchildren.
Glade is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years and children Deon Bettilyon, Douglas (Debbie), Adele Pincock (Jim Dredge), Ross (Jackie Bell), Marianne Leavitt (Jeff), thirteen grandchildren, and sisters Kathryn Seely and Lucinda Allred (David). He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ruth Carr.
A viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., in Bountiful on Thursday February 16, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:30pm. A memorial service will be held Friday February 17, 2012 beginning 11:00am at the Bountiful 18th Ward building, 165 So. 1000 E. Bountiful, UT. The family will receive guests prior to the service beginning at 9:30-10:30 am. An additional viewing will be held at the Flamm Funeral Home, 61 N. 1st East Rexburg, ID on Saturday February 18, 2012 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. Interment at Sugar City Cemetery immediately following the viewing.
Glade loved school and enjoyed life long learning. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Frank and Nina Ricks scholarship fund at BYU Idaho.
