Marlow Young

September 16, 1925 — May 21, 2011

Marlow was born September 16, 1925 in Ogden, Utah to William J. Young and Viola Gibby. Marlow graduated from Ogden High School and served in the US Navy during WWII as an electrician in Okinawa. He married the love of his life LouJean Burnett on June 25, 1947. They were married for 62 wonderful years. They raised 3 children. He served in multiple positions for the LDS church. His favorite position was being a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 18 years. He loved to golf and loved to make those he loved smile. Survived in death by LouJean, his wife; his sister, Erma Stanger; and 3 children, Lynette Rasmussen, Craig Young, and Michelle Armfield; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Kimball Mill Ward, 650 South 200 East, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Wednesday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Primary Childrens Hospital.
