Our sweet mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend passed away peacefully in her home on April 16, 2015.
She was born to James and Arleigh Kunz in Cedron, Idaho on May 21,1921. Because of her Christ-like nature, as well as the love and kindness she always gave, she was dearly loved by all who knew her. She grew up on the family farm, and was taught at an early age the importance of working hard.
After graduating from Victor High School, she married her sweetheart, Robert (Bob) Berger on May 25, 1939 in Cedron, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on November 13, 1940 and were blessed with four sons that were given a home of love, nurturing and teaching. Milford, UT was their home for 25 years before settling in Bountiful, UT for the past 50 years. Family was always the most important thing to her and she spent her life serving them.
Her children and grandchildren were everything to her, and she loved and supported them in all they did-including concerts and performances, sports, and graduations-she was always there to cheer us on (or scold a ref!) despite the challenges of advancing age. She was an excellent homemaker and wonderful cook and created many family traditions and memories that will be treasured for years to come. She was a classy, elegant, feisty red-head who loved to sing, golf, and drink cherry Pepsi! Faye was courageous and strong, and always stood up for what was right. She also knew the importance of celebrating the happy things in life – holidays, birthdays, and family time.
At 92, and after 45 years of selling Avon, she was likely the longest-lasting Avon lady out there. Throughout her life and wherever she went, Faye made many life-long friends that she cherished and kept in contact with.
Faye is a woman of strong faith, and love for her Heavenly Father and Savior. She had an unwavering testimony of the Gospel and loved to go to the Temple. She lived an exemplary life, never needing an assignment to sacrifice her time and talents to serve others. She served in many church callings, including a mission with Bob at Lagoon's Pioneer Village. She understood the importance of visiting teaching, and even in the last days of her life was concerned about visiting her sisters.
She is preceded in death by her sweetheart Bob, her parents, three brothers, son (Rick), and granddaughter (Alisa). She is survived by sons Jerry (Jody), Chris, Joel (Tami), daughter-in-law Tawnya; 18 Grandchildren; 21 Great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; siblings Denise (Max), Keith (Betty).

Viewings will be held on Sunday, April 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary: 295 N Main St, Bountiful, UT and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 20 at the Val Verda 5th Ward.
