Martha Evelyn Morgan Neville
1926-2012

Our Wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandma-ma, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Martha Evelyn Morgan Neville slipped peacefully back to our Father in Heaven on May 10, 2012 at the age of 85. We miss her so much. She was born June 3, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Maud Walters Douglas and Earl Caldwell Morgan. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, the third of five children. She often regaled her own children and grandchildren of the many happy memories of her life on Murphy’s Lane with her brothers and sisters. Her vocation was performance and she shared her talents through teaching, directing and performing in many productions in the theater. She graduated from BYU in English and Drama. She later taught at Brigham City High School and Murray High School and led her students to win many prestigious awards. She married her Sweetheart on August 29, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. From that union, four children were born, Joseph, Valerie, Jared and David. Evelyn and Joe had many adventures and moves, living in Washington DC, California and Utah. She embraced every experience and adventure with the passion that she lived her life. In 1985, Evelyn and Joe served a LDS mission to Manchester England where they were able to share the Gospel making a difference in the lives of many people. Evelyn was a special, vibrant person who brought sunshine, humor, adventure and joy wherever she was. Her name, Evelyn comes from the Hebrew origin meaning Life. And that was what she brought to all of us. Most of all Evelyn loved people. Evelyn never met a stranger. She made everyone she met feel special. Evelyn’s charm, sparkle, optimistic attitude, and winning smile were her trademarks. Evelyn was foremost a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandma-ma. Her defining Passion was her unwavering and complete love for her Family, Friends, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved deeply and IS deeply loved in return. She is survived by her loving companion of 60 years, Joseph; children, Joseph (Mary Jane) Neville, Valerie (Dennis) Garrett, Jared Neville, David (Leslie) Neville; 24 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, Siblings Phil (Nellie) Morgan, Jean (Al) Lindsey, Earl (Maravic) Morgan, and many Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by her Parents and her sister Gloria. Please join us in the Celebration of her Life. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the LDS Church – 1800 Mueller Park Road, Bountiful, Utah.
