Mary Ann Church

October 13, 1934 — August 7, 2015

Our fun loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Mary Ann Church, peacefully passed away Friday evening, August,7th.  

Mary Ann was born October 13, 1934 in Panguitch, Utah to Gerald and Mary Henrie.  She married Clem Church in 1956.    Mary Ann was a long time resident of Panguitch which she loved and always considered her home, even though she resided in North Salt Lake for the past 5 years.  

 

Mary Ann was an outdoor enthusiast and amateur geologist. She knew every back road in Garfield County and shared her knowledge with friends and family.  She enjoyed collecting rocks from the canyons and mountains surrounding Panguitch.  She loved to garden and can with her mother, read and play cards.  She was a long time owner and operator of the Blue Pine Hotel/Motel.  

 

Mary Ann graciously devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family and friends, particularly her husband, mother and grandson.  

 

Surviving are her sons, Gary( Gwen) and Mark  and her siblings John N. Henrie, Geri (George) Robinson, Amy (LaRell) Stevenson and LaVera (Dave) Hatch.  Also survived by four grandchildren Angela, Adam, Chante and Andrew as well as seven great grand-children.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Clem.    

 

A viewing will be held at the Orchard 13th Ward, 261 East Center Street, North Salt Lake, Utah from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, Tuesday August 11, 2015.  A graveside service will be held at the Panguitch City Cemetery on Wednesday August 12 at 12:00 PM.  A luncheon and memorial will follow the services. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com.
