Mary Lucille Sanford Donley “Slick Chick”, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was born on October 14, 1921 to Mary Alice and Fred Sanford, and passed away on January 6, 2015 at home, surrounded by her family.

She married Ralph Donley, her eternal sweetheart, in the Salt Lake Temple on October 15, 1946. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in Sunday School, Relief Society, Primary and Visiting Teaching.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, always putting others before herself. She lived her life with love, faith, courage and strength. She faced death with those same qualities. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, two brothers, husband and her loving daughter Jan. She is survived by her children: Lynette Montgomery (Brent), Lora Richardson (David), Rynda Monson, Karla Castillo and Tova Taylor (Alan), 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.

We want to thank all the caring and dedicated staff of Hospice of Utah for the excellent care and compassion shown to our mom and family in the last months of her life. Also a special thanks to Dr. Josh Romney for his kind and caring way with our parents.
