1938-2012

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mary Seton McGrath Haddow, 74, of Farmington Utah, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on April 25, 2012. She was born in Newark, New Jersey on February 2, 1938. She was the second of 4 children born to Frederic McGrath and Margaret Sutherland McGrath. Seton married her high school sweetheart, George Aye Haddow on June 28, 1958 in Pacific Palisades, California. The marriage was later sealed in the St. George Temple.

Seton left a successful career as a clothing designer to raise her 3 daughters. She was extremely artistic and loved to paint portraits and was a gifted interior decorator. She loved sewing, cooking and maintaining an immaculate home. She was an avid reader, with a sharp intellect and a vast knowledge of various historical and current events.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, George Haddow, three daughters; Heather (John) Stubbs, Shannon Haddow, Erin (Bruce) Badia; 5 grandchildren; Ryan, Nicolette, Hayden, Danielle and Ava. Also survived by her three brothers; Corrin McGrath of Texas, Paul McGrath of Montana and Frederic McGrath of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Reagan Stubbs.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 3pm at Farmington City cemetery for family and close friends.
